Most of the text in my work, graphics & rugs starts from this collage technique.
Taking one thing and getting it all out of context, then plant it in a new one that is not always logically or grammarly correct.
In this process I have used magazines that I have collected from all over the world.
With a bunch of pictures that I have taken over the years.
My work is intuitive, with no preplanning.
Taking magazines cut them out pasting , until I feel that I'm satisfied.
FOR EXAMPLE:
RISE AND SHINE from THE BIG PICTURE collection.
These rugs was tufted as separate parts.
with a general idea and a solid big background but no specific plans for the end result ,
Hand sawed together part by part layered on top of each other just like the collage technique.
